The immediate past minister of
petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke's husband Amaechina Madueke has been reportedly arrested by the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to
Sahara Reporters, Mr. Madueke was arrested Wednesday morning by the
operatives of the anti-graft commission in Abuja for allegedly
laundering more than $600,000 via his personal accounts.
The report quoted a source as saying that, “Mr. Madueke was arrested this morning in Abuja and released on administrative bail.”

The agency also confiscated Mr. Madueke’s passport and placed him under caution.
