Man Slaughter Stepmother With Axe

A shocking tragedy took place in Umuenem Ezinesi Oduma Aninri in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu state. A man reportedly killed his step-mother who tried to separate a fight between him

and his elder sister with an axe.

The suspect known as Friday Anyim, was born into a polygamous home of three wives, the son of Anyim Samuel Ogbonna.

Friday was said to have had an issue with his elder sister over a request to sell a GP Tank of which he planned on raising some money to buy a motorcycle for business in the community.

A fight broke between the siblings over selling of the tank and the suspect reportedly picked an axe to fight his elder sister when suddenly axed down his stepmother on the neck while she intervened to stop them from fighting.

Reports says, the woman known as Bennedeth Anyim fell down unconscious, on seeing what happened the suspect abandoned the axe and took to his heels. 

Bennedeth was later rushed to a nearby hospital where she died and have since been deposited at Awgu District Hospital Mortuary for Autopsy.

However, the suspect have been apprehended by operatives of the Homicide section of the state criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department of Enugu state.
