A teenager has died after she was accidentally shot by her
father with a gun he thought wasn’t loaded, it has been reported.
Kaitlyn Pullam, 17, died around 4pm on Boxing Day after a
decision was made for her to be taken off
life support on Christmas Eve. The incident took place on December 20 in Poplar Bluff,
Missouri.
Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs confirmed her father thought
the gun was not loaded when it went off. Emergency services were called and Kaitlyn was found in her
bedroom with a single gunshot wound to her face.

Witnesses told deputies that another family member in the
home was trying to unload a black powder rifle when it discharged and went
through the wall, reports kfvs12.
She was airlifted to hospital where she remained in a coma.
No arrests have been made.
