Koko master D’banj has explained why his musician younger
brother, K-switch is yet to release his debut album.
D’banj explained that he wants to lay the foundation before
releasing K-switch or 2Kriss’s album.
“You see, it’s important for the foundation to be very
strong. When I came back in 2014, a lot of people wanted songs from me so even
if I wanted to concentrate on K-switch, 2kriss or Tonto, they asked what about
you.
“So since na me, let me give you something which I just did
today, because I realize that even when K-switch goes for interview, when dem
finish, dem go ask your brother D’banj is he going to” release an album or
something,” he said.
D’banj then promised K-switch will release his debut album
in the first quarter of 2016.
“Yes, K-Switch will release his album in the first quarter
of 2016. Same thing that happened to me is what happened to him. You see, it’s
important for the foundation to be very strong. When the foundation is strong,
we will roll out more projects. I think everyone knows he is one of the most
talented artistes in this country.”
When questioned if he would sign any artistes anymore, he
said; “Right now, before I go sign anybody, I go drop K-switch album, drop for
2kriss, Tonto.”
The pop star Dbanj hosted members of the media in Ikeja,
Lagos to a private screening of his soon-to-be-released visual EP An Epic Journey.
